What's the difference between a 1020 and 1010 tray?
A 1010 tray is roughly half the footprint of a 1020, so two 1010 trays fit inside one 1020 base. They suit smaller growing spaces or running two different varieties side by side.
Should I choose trays with holes or without holes?
Trays with drainage holes are for the actual planting and top growth. Trays without holes are used underneath as a bottom-watering reservoir, so you'll generally need one of each.
